As a wedding photographer in Charleston, my passion lies in capturing the genuine moments of love, laughter, and connection that make each celebration unique. Through my lens, I transform these fleeting instances into timeless works of art, emphasizing the natural beauty of light, composition, and the setting.
My approach is deeply personal and attentive, limiting the number of weddings I take on to ensure each couple receives the dedication and care they deserve. This commitment allows me to deliver stunning, high-quality images within a 4-week timeframe, preserving your memories with exceptional craftsmanship.
I believe in building meaningful relationships with my clients, becoming a reassuring and friendly presence on your wedding day. If I could go back, I would choose Philip to capture the most important day of our lives - over and over again, without question. When planning our wedding, I spent HOURS upon hours researching photographers, combing through their portfolios, and reading customer reviews. I came across Philip early on in the process and very very quickly started to realize every photographer I found, I compared to him. Whether it was the photography style, the unique & candid shots, or the genuine joy captured in every photo, no one measured up to Philip and the work he produced.
My husband and I didn't have much experience having professional photos taken of us which made us nervous we'd be uncomfortable in front of the camera. Philip agreed to meet up with us when we got into town to talk about the wedding day timeline and plan, and answer any last minute questions we had. He assured us not to worry about anything and made me feel so at ease going into the wedding day.
The day of our wedding he showed up earlier than he was scheduled to arrive. From the moment he started shooting, I never once felt nervous or awkward in front of the camera. Throughout the entire day, Philip and his 2nd shooter directed everyone so well and effortlessly made me feel so beautiful and relaxed!
When we received the 'sneak peek' photos in the days following our wedding, I immediately started a countdown to the day we were scheduled to receive the entire album. It's safe to say the following days (weeks, really!) were spent looking through our photos over and over - I could've never imagined them to look as incredible as they did. He captured some of the most special moments with some of the most important people in our lives so beautifully and naturally.
Philip went above and beyond for us. He was flexible through all of the big changes we made leading up to the wedding and he comforted us when we were nervous. He was truly the best and I will never be able to express our gratitude for him and his incredible team! Thank you so much, Philip!
Philip was one of the greatest decisions we made in our wedding planning. He was quick to respond during the booking process and has easy online payment methods. He arrived promptly with an assistant on wedding day and did a great job capturing the special details with gorgeous photos of my dress, my husband getting ready, our rings, tablescapes and greenery of our venue. Our first look was magical & Phil gently coached us into getting some of the best photos of the day. My family is also quite a handful to deal with and Phil managed to direct and photograph them with kindness. Throughout the ceremony & reception, he was everywhere at once, capturing each moment. He also took solo shots of a lot of guests, which is so wonderful to look back at because wedding day, you don't generally have enough time to talk to each guest for a long period of time. He sent us our "sneak peak" photos in less than a month and turnaround time for the rest of the photos was 3 months. Phil is truly an artist and his photos cannot be compared to some run-of-the-mill wedding photographer. I was so happy with him, his photos and his pricing that I encouraged my sister to hire him for her wedding in March, so now I get to see more of his great work :)

Let me start off by saying if you have not booked you photographer yet, GO BOOK PHILIP NOW!!! Whatever you are looking to get photographed, Philip is your guy. He makes you dreams come true, and brings to life dreams you never even knew you could imagine. Philip makes you feel comfortable around the camera, almost as though you forget there is even a camera around you. He will become your best friend in about five minutes because of his kind, passionate, loving, and caring heart. We first met Philip for my sister's destination wedding in Charleston in 2017, and our entire family was blown away. Less than a year later I contacted him to come to Atlanta for my wedding. Without hesitation he said yes! Philip truly has become a part of our family, and we could not imagine what life would be without his amazing talent, kind heart, and true compassion for both people and his passion of photography. When you book Philip Casey you are getting more than just a photographer.
