About Philip

Philip Casey Bio

Philip Casey – Owner / Lead Photographer

Hey there! I’m Philip Casey! I’m a Charleston Fine Art Wedding Photographer. My style is a unique combination of fine art impressionism, lifestyle photography, and photojournalism. I create timeless images for Charleston Weddings and Charleston Brides, whether it’s a local or destination wedding. And I’m also available for travel anywhere in the world.

Why weddings? I photograph weddings because when I got married, we had a friend do our photos and the photos we got back were terrible. It was such an awful experience that I became a wedding photographer and I have made it my mission to make sure that doesn’t happen to anyone else. Plus, I’m a strong believer in the importance of marriage and relationships. I want to make sure your wedding memories get captured well and that they are safe for you to share for generations to come. You can trust me with your wedding.

I photographed my first wedding in 2006 and 11 years later, I’m still doing what I love and what is important to me. I have photographed over 350+ weddings and have delivered beautiful wedding photos to all those couples! I aim to create imagery that captures the joy, the personalities, and the deep connection you share with each other.

Hobbies & Interests

Photography (the most obvious one)

My passion is for photography and creating beautiful imagery.  If I wasn’t a full-time photographer, I would still continue to pursue photography as a hobby to capture the life that surrounds me every day.

Enjoying the Outdoors

I like experiencing the great outdoors.  I have spent a lot of time hiking in Alaska and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  I also enjoy exploring the Historical Plantations of Charleston in the warm summer weather.  My interest in the wild outdoors is also greatly linked to my passion for photography.

I love traveling to new places.  I’ve traveled to Paris, France; Venice, Italy; Ireland; and Thailand.  My most recent trip was another cross-country camping road-trip following the historic, Route 66 highway.  I spent nearly a month on the road, camping and living out of my Jeep Wrangler.  I traveled from Charleston to Chicago, then from Chicago to San Monta, and then back to Charleston.  I saw many great things and took thousands of photos.  One of my favorite places on my trip was when I was camping on the edge of a cliff in New Mexico overlooking an Indian reservation.
